Ewa Ohlsson receives postdoc grant from the Danish Council for independent research
Ewa Katarina Ohlsson from the Daniel group at Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research receives Postdoc grant of DKK 2.86 M from The Danish Council for Independent Research Medical for her project:
‘Elucidating the role of replicative stress in hematopoietic stem cells'
With this project, Ewa will study HSCs from mice that have reduced replicative stress with advanced microscopy to investigate the impact of DNA damage with unprecedented resolution. She expects to determine whether reducing replicative stress can alleviate the loss of blood stem cell function with age, and provide insight into the development of treatment for age-related diseases of the blood system.
